About the Workshop

“To love without knowing how to love wounds the person we love.” —Thich Nhat Hanh

We warmly invite you to join to us in-person at our community house in Ridgewood, NY (on the border of Bushwick, Brooklyn and Queens) on Saturday, February 8th from 11a-4pm for a day-long embodied investigation into the warm, loving, and potentially destructive, nature of fire.

This retreat supports our annual 28 Days of Love practice intensive, which launches on February 1st. Participants will all receive complimentary access to the online program as part of their registration. Folks who cannot join us in person for this retreat are most welcome to join us for the online 28-day program.

"We spend a lot of time searching for love And never know where it's coming from And as soon as we get it somehow We seem to think that our work is done But the same things it took to get that love Are the things that you'll have to do to keep it You gotta stay on your J.O.B You gotta give a little, take a lot Give it all you got, oh Keep the fires burning Keep the fires burning Keep them burning hot You gotta work on your love, yeah (Yeah!) You gotta give it all you've got" Gwen McCrae, "Keep the Fire Burning"

SUPPORT

$200.00

We offer a sliding scale for all of our workshops in service of economic justice. We ask those with access to financial resources and/or access to organizational professional development funds to please consider paying this rate. This practice of solidarity giving enables us to cover costs and to provide financial support to others with less financial resources, thereby building and strengthening our community.

BASE TICKET

$150.00

This rate covers basic costs of producing this event. We invite those with less class privilege or with limited financial resources or recent financial hardships to consider paying our base fee. This enables us to cover basic costs and to provide ongoing community support.

REDUCED SOLIDARITY RATE

$100.00

We invite folks with less class privilege, financial hardship and/or those representing historically marginalized identities for whom the cost to attend is not possible, to register at our subsidized rate.

REDUCED SCHOLARSHIP RATE

$50.00

We invite folks with less class privilege, financial hardship and/or those representing historically marginalized identities for whom the cost to attend is not possible, to register at our subsidized rate.
