About the Course

This year-long course is an opportunity for educators to apply the principles of a sustainable compassionate approach in their classrooms. During this in-depth course participants will meet monthly for a live presentation of content.  In addition participants have the option of meeting for an additional monthly live discussion session to share and learn from colleagues as you integrate SCT principles into your schools. In this course participants will be given practical tools for transforming their classrooms into sustainably compassionate communities and for empowering their students.

Class topics include:

  • Creating the conditions for a compassionate, equitable school
  • The developmental building blocks of compassion
  • Establishing safety in the classroom
  • Identity and bias in the classroom
