July 11th – 14th, 2016
The program runs from 12pm on Monday, July 11th through 5pm on Thursday, July 14th, with optional evening programming occurring. Workshop topics include the foundations of stable care; developing a compassionate stance. The science of compassion and care; including the science of mindfulness, burnout. We will provide an exploration of the practices and theory of the three modes of care (receiving care, self care and extending care), and will end the program by joining participants from the Classroom Summer Workshop in an exploration in the strategies and practices for building and sustaining a compassionate school community.
Location and Accommodation
The workshop will be held at the Smith College Campus School located at 33 Prospect Street, Northampton, MA.

We will provide lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as well as snacks and refreshments during breaks throughout your day. There will be a lightly catered reception on Thursday evening.

The course fee is $550. Scholarship support is available upon request. Student and group discounts are also available.
