Sustainable Compassion Workshop @ 1440 Multiversity

June 23 @ 7:00 pm - June 25 @ 5:00 pm

About the Workshop

It is in our nature to want to offer care and compassionate support to those we care about, yet oftentimes it can deplete us. How do we ensure our own self-care while being able to care for and nurture others in our lives?

Sustainable Compassion Training (SCT) is designed to support everyone who cares for others—within their family, community, and working life. Whether you support people in your life with special needs, such as children or aging parents, or clients and patients who rely on you, you can tap into the power of unconditional care within in a way that is deeply healing for you, while it empowers you to offer compassion to others.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • The relationship between self-care and the ability to offer care sustainably to others
  • The importance of the interrelated modes of care: receiving care, self-care, and extending care
  • Methods for reducing stress, cultivating resilience, and becoming present to others
  • How to connect to a replenishing source of care within, and extend care to others from there
  • Tools for strengthening your compassion practices in daily life.

During this powerful weekend, you will dive into the practice and experience of sustainable compassionate care to be able to give strong care to others in meaningful ways while enhancing your well-being rather than moving toward burnout.
